FAQ

1. How can I get my Taggi code or QR?

You just have to download the app, create your account and then you will automatically receive your Taggi code or QR

2. How can I put a Taggi on my things?

You can print it directly from the app, selecting the different available formats (QR code, alphanumeric code in a key ring format…). You will receive a pdf by e-mail that you can print, cut out and put on your object.

3. Can I use the Taggi alphanumeric code to produce my own tag?

Yes, you can note down your alphanumeric code wherever and however you wish. Keep in mind though that you have to add Taggi.app, so that people who find it can identify it as a Taggi code.

4. What do I do if I find an object with a Taggi code?

You just have to download the app, create your account and introduce the Taggi code or scan the QR code. If the Taggi is valid, you will be allowed to send an anonymous message to the owner to try to give it back to him.

5. What do I do if I lose an object with a Taggi code?

First of all, do not despair: most of the lost items finally get back to its owner. Usually, when somebody finds something and has good intentions, he tries to trace the owner or to let it to the police. If your item has a Taggi, it won't go unnoticed and they will probably get in touch with you soon. Have faith in humanity!

6. How to reply when someone contacts me?

The Taggi system is completely anonymous so you are fully free to decide how to proceed with the other person. Having said this, although most people are honest, remember it's still convenient to take some basic precautions.

  • If possible, agree to meet the other person during the daytime and in a crowded public place.
  • Giving out your address or your personal information is never a good idea.
  • Do not accept blackmail. Requesting a reward is expressly prohibited at Taggi.
  • If you want to protect your identity, you can always ask the person to let the object at an establishment of your trust.

However, if a person makes the effort to return your lost item to you, we believe it's common courtesy to say thank you in person. Also take into account the local culture, for example: in many places, when someone returns your wallet intact, it's customary to offer half of the money inside (finders fee).

7. May I put a Taggi to my pet?

Of course, pets must wear an identification chip. But thanks to Taggi you can avoid several stressful hours until the chip is scanned by a third party, as it is a much simpler and faster system. The person who finds your pet could contact you almost instantly, while protecting your personal identity.

(Attention: Taggi does not replace in any way your obligation to get your pet perfectly identified according to local legislation).

8. What will happen if I uninstall the app or if I do not have coverage?

If somebody scans your Taggi and your mobile is disconnected or without signal, you will receive an e-mail so that you can open or install the app again, following the different steps.

9. Can I get more than one Taggi?

On registration you receive a free Taggi associated with your account for a period of 2 years. You can associate this Taggi with as many objects/items as you wish. In the near future, you will be able to acquire new Taggis so that you can better differentiate your things.

About us

Hello! We are three IT engineers from Galicia and Castilla La Mancha.

We met some years ago in Barcelona for profesionnal reasons and we quickly felt a strong connection because we share the same passion for quality products simmered over low heat rather than the fast-paced of the startup world. We are developing various projects under Katapulta brand, bringing together IoT (Internet of Things) prototypes and augmented reality experiences, including software engineering.

In 2018, Victor found a camera on the train. It took him more than two weeks and countless posts on Facebook to find its owner. One year later, a similar story really sparked the idea that it should not be so difficult to connect objects with people. And that is how Taggi was born.
Anyone can, using a simple pen, write their code on a piece of paper and put it in their backpack. So if one day he misplaces it (or someone steals it), the person who finds it can easily locate its owner and return it to him completely anonymously and confidentially.

We are currently in full launch phase and so we need to promote the app. Help us by downloading it and showing it to your social circle. Maybe one day it will help you too :)
